Steven Tyler

Steven TylerUnder the direction of Frank Connelly, their first manager, they spent some time on Boston's clubs circuit. The group then began working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). The band's debut album, which was named "Eponymous" released in 1973. They were signed to a record deal in 1972. The album was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. These albums were the inspiration of iconic hits like "Dream On", Walk This Way, and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's initial five albums were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks are considered as some of the best album of hard rock to date. However, as the decade progressed, the fast-paced life of performing, recording, living together, and using substances began to take its toll on the group. Due to their famed use of stimulants and heroin, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music has numerous videos that demonstrate their friendship. Tyler was more committed to Aerosmith and resent Perry for his aloof attitude. Perry also admired his preference for females throughout his life. The tense dynamic between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently an important factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
